2025 Boot Overview

Today we are going to do a nice boot overview of what we have in the store. You’ll see all sorts of different boots, from 6″ boots to police boots, and what makes each one unique for the job they are suited for.

In choosing the right work boots to wear, there are a number of options to choose from. In our store, you’ll find a bunch of 8-inch boots.

The 8-inch boots give more protection for the leg from rebar and other building materials.

These boots come in different styles, including steel toe, composite toe, and logger style with an inch and a quarter higher heel at the back for support.

One of the brands is Carolina, which has a defined heel that allows for easy ladder climbing and decent ankle support.

The boots are waterproof, insulated, and have composite toe versions available.

Danner

Another good brand is Danner.

Danner has a classic line of American-made boots that fit well and are available in 6-inch or 7-inch collections.

Some of the Danner boots are designed for high steel work, featuring a straight crepe sole for better traction and balance.

Boa

For ease, boots with the Boa lacing system are a popular choice as well. The Boa lacing system allows for fast tightening through a dial and easy loosening by popping out the dial.

Boa lacing systems are increasingly being utilized by various companies for their work boots.

If you are searching for durable and reliable work boots, you can try Redwing’s King Toe or Carolina boots that offer a sturdy design to endure rough working environments.

Irish Setter’s light hiker boots are also a perfect option for anyone who wants optimum protection and comfort.

Not only that, we also carry a range of police boots, including ones with side zippers and safety toe features. The boots are both waterproof and slip-resistant and come in many different styles to suit personal preferences.

With so many brands and styles available here at the store you are sure to find the perfect pair for your feet.

To give you even more options we have wide sizes available, and to really dial it all in we can do a professional fitting of these boots as well.

So if you’d like to try any of of what you saw in this boot overview, scroll down below and schedule a time to come in.

Merrell Moab Vertex 2 Boot Review

Today, I’d like to talk about the Merrell Moab Vertex 2. This is a low-cut boot that is quite popular. In the video below I’ll break down some of the basic features that make this boot so popular.

The Merrell Moab Vertex 2 Boot is one of the rare boots that is not only comfortable but also easy to break in.

And if you know anything about boots, most of them are not that comfortable and take quite a long time to break in.

This boot is not like that.

But just because it’s comfortable does not mean that it won’t be able to stand up to the abuse that can be thrown at it from every-day work use.

Now, is this a heavy-duty boot that you can use for the most demanding jobs, no. But it is a good boot for warehouse work and some construction work.

It has a carbon fiber toe, so your toes will be protected from any bangs or light-duty material or equipment that may fall on your toes.

The benefit of the carbon fiber toe is that it keeps the boot light.

And a lightweight boot means less fatigue as the day goes on.

Also, the Vertex 2 has a good shank, which means it is stiff and offers good support.

Plus, it has a removable innersole, so you can customize the fit by using better inserts and orthotics.

Overall, this is a good, durable boot that will fit the needs of many people.

So if you need a boot that is lightweight and comfortable but will also stand up to the daily demands of your job, the Merrell Moab Vertex 2 could be a good option for you.

If you’d like to try a pair on, scroll down below and schedule a time to come in.

Best Wide-Width Boots

When it comes to choosing the best wide-width boots, it’s not as simple as just going to a big box store or online and picking a boot that matches your size. Some specific brands and models accommodate wide widths, and others don’t. In the video below, you’ll learn about what brands to look for if you have wide feet.

The biggest mistake people with wide feet make is choosing a boot based only on the length of their feet. For example, if someone wears a size 11 shoe, they shop online and get that size boot.

What they rarely account for is if that boot and brand make boots specifically for wide feet.

A lot of times, a person with wide feet will order the next size up to make sure that the boot fits their wide feet.

But then that throws off so many other aspects of the boot, which will eventually cause issues with their feet.

It could be anything from blisters all the way up to major medical issues.

So choosing brands and boots that are specifically designed for wider feet is very important.

Then, just like everything else, some brands are better than others.

I’ll break all of this down so that you can choose the best wide-width boots that will make your feet happy.

If you’d like to try a pair of these boots on, scroll down and schedule an appointment in the calendar below.

We’ll even dive into which boot will be cheaper.

Quite a few local businesses in the area send over their employees to get boots from us.

And when it comes to the construction companies and electricians there are some specific requirements for the boots that they require.

The boots in this video meet those requirements and more.

Best Boots For Warehouse Workers

What are the best boots for warehouse workers? In the video below, you’ll see the different options for boots that will help you make the right decisions.

When it comes to boots being worn for warehouse work, there are a lot of options. On top of that, many employers have specific requirements for boots that can be worn.

Most of the time, that is for safety reasons.

Depending on the business, some boots must have safety toes or oil-resistant soles. or even waterproof.

It all comes down to what the business is.

But once you have those requirements met, then it comes down to what boots will fit your feet correctly.

As I’ve mentioned before, boots are not like shoes. They take more time to break in. And if you put on a pair that doesn’t fit right, you’ll be asking for some foot issues down the road.

It could be something simple, such as skin irritations or blisters, or it could lead to severe pain.

Which could take you out of work for a while.

So making sure you have the correct boot and one that fits the right way is vitally important.

All of that being said…

Sometimes the best boots for warehouse workers are shoes or sneakers with a little added protection.

Generally, those will break in easier and feel a bit more comfortable right from the start.

But those can only be worn if the job allows it.

In the end, knowing the company’s requirements is the first step.

The second step is choosing the boot, trying it on, and having it fitted by a pro.

And ordering boots online or even trying on a pair from a big box store won’t guarantee the right boot or fit.

You’ll need a specialized shoe store to help you with that.

And if you work in the warehouse industry and need boots that fit right, protect your feet, and will meet your company’s requirements, then we can help.

If you’d like our help, then scroll down and schedule an appointment, and we will help you find the perfect boot.

Oh, and if your employer pays for your boots, that’s even better. We work with many corporate companies that cover the costs of the boots for their employees.

So if you need boots for warehouse work, scroll down and schedule an appointment.

How To Pick The Best Boots For Winter

Today I want to talk about how to pick the best boots for winter. There are a lot of boots out there with lots of options. So much so, that it can get a bit confusing when trying to find the right boots. So I wanted to clear it up for you with the video below.

In general, when it comes to choosing the best boots for the cold winter weather, you want to make sure they are insulated.

There’s nothing worse than having cold feet in a pair of boots that you thought were going to do the exact opposite.

Actually, I take that back. There is something worse. Having cold, wet feet.

Which leads me to the next point. Look for waterproof boots.

You really don’t want wet feet. That can cause a whole host of other issues, along with just being cold.

Next up, you want to choose boots that have an aggressive sole so that you won’t slip and slide.

The stylish boots out there with leather soles on the bottom are just not going to cut it.

If you want to see a perfect example of this, hang out in New York City during a snowstorm and watch the commuters who don’t have the right boots. It’s a sure bet that someone will slip and fall hard.

Lastly, and most importantly, the boots must fit. If they don’t fit, not only can they cause pain, but they can also lead to other issues.

To make sure they fit properly, it will take some time to try them on.

That’s why I recommend an actual boot-fitting.

This will actually save you time from having to go out and find a bunch of different boots from different places to find the best one.

If you’d like to find the best winter boots for your feet and want to save time, then I’m here to do a fitting for you.

If you’d like that, scroll down and schedule a time in the calendar below.

Best Boots For Construction Workers

Want to know what are the best boots for construction workers? Watch the video below.

In the video above, we’ll take a bit of a journey across a bunch of different brands, from Red Wing to Danner to Carolina boots, so that way you can see what types of options are out there for good boots.

The thing about boots for construction workers is that there are a lot of different options to select from.

So it’s important to know the demands of your job first so that you can pick the right one.

For example, getting a logger boot with a big heel will not be right for you if you deal with a lot of steel or rebar.

Your heel will catch, and it will become a tripping issue.

So knowing the demands of the job is very important.

Once you know that, then you’ll want a boot that fits correctly.

And the only way you’ll know that is by trying on a pair and having them fitted correctly.

What About Ordering Boots Online?

Of course, you can order your boots online, but it’s not something I recommend for the simple fact that you’ll never be able to try them on before you buy them.

If they don’t fit, you can return them, but you’ll be playing the fitting game and have to buy multiple boots to find the right fit.

The reason you want the boots to fit correctly from the start is that they are much stiffer and tougher on your feet than shoes.

Plus, the demands of your job are much higher than the average job.

So if you have the wrong boot and it doesn’t fit your foot…

There’s a much higher chance of foot pain.

And if you have any foot pain, it will slow you down on the job site and increase your chance of injury.

So having the right boot—one that fits right and feels right—is crucial.

Plus, trying a pair on and having them fitted will give you the chance to go through the best boots and get a feel for what is available.

Here’s The Other Thing About Ordering Boots Online

When it comes to boots, there are a million and one different options.

For example…

Boots with heels

Boots with no heels

Steel toe

Comp Toe

Moc Toe

Oil-resistant or slip-resistant

And on and on.

If that seems like a lot, it is.

With all of that, I’ve found that most aren’t 100% sure what options would be best for them.

And ordering them online doesn’t help with that.

What Can You Do?

First, watch the video above. It will help break some of this down for you and give you a good idea of where to start.

Second, schedule a boot fitting appointment with us. This appointment will take everything you see in this video and customize it specifically to your needs.

We will not only find the right type of boot, but we’ll find the one that fits correctly and won’t cause you any issues.

Filling The Boot Void

Let’s talk a little bit about filling the boot void. First, what do we mean by the “boot void”?

Well, over the past few years with COVID and what it’s done to the shoe industry, a bunch of local stores were forced to close.

Many of those stores had work boots. Since those stores are no longer around, it has been harder for people to find work boots locally.

More and more have turned to the internet to find the boots which has helped, but there has been one big challenge with that.

That is, people have no idea if the boots will fit and how they will feel.

So it’s become a shot in the dark. When they order the boots, they’re hoping the boots will fit and be comfortable.

But they’ll only know that once the boots arrive.

Plus, depending on the boot, the company, and where the boots are ordered from, it could take quite a while for the boots to be delivered.

It’s only once they arrive and they try the boots on will the person know if the boots are right or not.

If the boots don’t fit, they have to send them back and wait for the replacements to arrive. Which can be a real pain. And there’s no guarantee that those will fit or feel any better.

What can make it even more challenging is that boots are not like sneakers. They are rigid, stiff, and can have a much longer break-in period.

So the fit and feel of a boot is that much more important. Especially when trying them for the first time.

To help with all of this, we’ve been focused on filling the boot void.

We have more work boots in stock than ever before, in all sorts of different brands and styles.

And in the video above, you’ll see how we are filling that void, and you will see some of the different types of work boots we offer.

So if you need work boots that are high-quality, comfortable, and easy to get, we’ve got them. There’s no worrying about whether or not a boot will fit or if it will hurt your feet.

We have multiple brands and styles that you can try on, and you’ll know instantly which boot is right for you.

If you’d like to see what we have, and want to try the work boots on, scroll down and schedule an appointment.

That way we can make sure you end up with exactly what you want.

Video Breakdown Of Filling The Boot Void

“Filling the Void Left By Traditional Retailers: Meeting The Need For Work Boots In Our Area”

One of the things I want to talk about today is how we are trying to meet the need for work boots in our area, now that many traditional retailers are no longer distributing them. We have added a wide variety of work boots to our inventory, including hikers, loggers, and light hikers, all of which are waterproof, slip-resistant, and have a variety of souls.

Hiker Work Boots

We have a wide selection of hikers, including those with and without safety toes, and many are oil-resistant and are weatherproof. People tend to prefer the lightweight comp toe, as it is easier to wear on the job.

Logger Work Boots

We also have a variety of logger work boots, which come in a variety of colors and with or without steel. These boots are made in the USA, and are great for those who need a rugged soul but balanced on high bars.

Traditional Boots

We have been selling boots by Danner for a long time, which are great for those who need a more traditional soul but with a balanced heel. We also have a selection of boots by Thorogood, which are great for those high-steel guys who need that indoor soul.

Mephisto Raine Review

Here is the Mephisto Raine Review.

This is the 2nd review video of the Mephisto brand shoes that are in the store.

If you’d like to see the first review video of the Mephisto Edlef, click here.

As for the Raine, it’s a bit different. It’s not a shoe, it’s a boot. And it’s made for women.

And this boot is not the “rough and tumble” utility boot like the Danner Vicious, or Hoss Bronc.

The Raine is more of a casual ankle boot.

And in the Mephisto Raine review, you’ll learn about some of the features and benefits of the Raine and what makes it a good boot.

So check it out.
