Who doesn’t love the 1980s?
Amazing clothes, even better hair styles, and incredible TV shows.
Or you may think it was the worst decade for those things, and it should just be forgotten.
But the one thing 1980s was really great at was…
Infomercials.
The Clapper.
The Chia Pet.
And let’s not forget the Ginsu knives.
So sharp it can cut through a tin can and still slice through a tomato.
They were all a bit over the top and cheesy, but they were great.
Although there was one infomercial that was better than all of them.
And it was a shoe infomercial that not many people saw.
So I wanted to share it with you here. I think you’ll really like it.
There is one thing to know before you watch it.
It is 100% fake and I’m kidding about it being the best infomercial.
It was actually made using AI.
But I wanted to see if we could come up with something that was cheesy, just like the 1980s infomercials.
It has all the elements.
The grainy, low quality VHS look.
The over exaggerated commentary.
1980s characters, environment, and my favorite…
The closing scene.
It’s silly, but I was looking for ways to make “shoe fitting” entertaining and fun.
Because there is only so many ways you can talk about shoes.
But, if you can try something different, why not?
And if you can make it fun and entertaining, even better.
So without further ado, here is “The Shoe Tapper” infomercial
If you like it, let me know.
And if you want to schedule an appointment because of it, even better.
